Tennessee - Adventures in the wilderness

So as most friends know I had the pleasure of spending the weekend in Lynchburg TN this weekend. Went camping, I use that term lightly as we had a camper with electricity, a gas over, bathroom, and three beds in it (this is my kind of camping!). Took a bunch of pictures and I will post them for all the world to see but for now I wanted to show the sheer joy of what being in the great state of TN can do to a person! For those of you who are scratching your head and saying where is this place, it is right next to the metropolitan area of Tullahoma TN which as everyone know is the location of the one and only Davey Crockett Road House Restaurant & Tavern, a place where happy hour starts promptly at 2pm and doesn't end until they close. This happy hour as we discovered come complete with peanuts (roaches climbing out of the bowels of said peanuts) food (which we didn't partake in after watching the roach climb out of the peanuts) and a bartender that if you order a 7&7 gives you a shot glass with seagrams 7 in it and says "you are just one hard man arn't ya". For now enjoy the photo of me, happy as can be and wearing my local disguise as to fit in a little better!

Cannon 5D

So lucky me I get to shoot with a Cannon 5D! My good friend Jesse is coming into town and said that he wouldn't mind letting me use if for the day! I have been wanting to get a new camera for some time now, the 5D is just an amazing camera. I am very sure that this is going to be a mistake, it will make me want a new one even more even though I cant justify the cost. Nothing better than a little mental torture to make shooting that much more fun!

Note to self......

Carry my camera where ever I go, carry my camera where ever I go!

I have not been bringing it out much lately, just have not been inspired to shoot anything lately. So I am again going to start carrying it where ever I go, no matter where it is I will have my camera again!

Golf The Movie

This is my first attempt at any real video editing! Went out Monday and played some golf with Matt and Nick, we had a blast! I can't think of any better way to spend a Monday afternoon. Let me know what you think of it, you should watch it with sound as I spent large amounts of time making the video and sound go together well (or at least I think that they go together well!).

Death comes a knocking!

My good friend Tim, who you may recognize from the San Diego post decided to come surprise his mom for her 60th birthday this year. Tim recently moved to San Diego so the surprise was a pretty big one. To top things off he decided to dress up as Death and come to the door of her Luau themed party! Needless to say, needless because you can just look at the pictures, he did a really great job of getting into costume! The best part of the whole thing, when he knocked they just let him in, they didn't ask, they didn't think twice, the door opened and we hear look it's death come on in! Ariana stood outside amazed that someone with a giant sickle(note that thing is real, it is not plastic, it has a real sharp blade on it) just welcomed into the house no questions asked! Everyone was very surprised when he took off the hood, it took about 1 min and then the screams came from the house but everyone was super happy to see him!
