Pin Up Calendar

About 2 years ago I got to shoot a calendar for a friend to send to someone. It was really fun to shoot, lots of photos and I really had a good time! I talked to Melissa the other day and mentioned that I would like to put some of the images up here, she said that it was no problem and she would love to have them up!

Well it has been some time and I wanted to post some old photos and update some. It has been some time since I last looked at any of these photos, I am somewhat inspired to start shooting again!

Editing! About time.....

Photos and more photos! I have not been shooting as much as I would like to lately. Mostly because I don't find the time, been trying to go to the gym, trying to cook at home, just trying to do lots of stuff lately! So I decided that tonight when I have nothing to do I am going to edit photos, photos of friends, models, places, all are going to get worked on. Here are the fruit of my labor for tonight, this is Lauren, I shot her well over a year ago and have been holding out on editing for some time.

Well we went to the races this weekend! I am happy to say that I had a GREAT time! So as I have said earlier it was Talladega this year which from what I was told is one of the best tracks to see a race at! First thing is that this place is HUGE, the track itself is about 2.5 miles long! You can stand in the middle of the track and not see the entire thing, it is really amazing! Second it is loud, those trucks are moving and they are loud!!!!!!

The day started out rainy, so they didn't do the qualifying for the big cars, we thought that the thing was going to be rained out in fact. We arrived around 11am, raining, cold, and not many people hanging around. We were very lucky as we had pit passes which make you able to go into the garages and the pit area. Now the pit area for those of you who have never been is were they change the tires, put gas in the trucks, and do general maintenance during the race. We also were lucky thanks to Ariana's cousin Allison to get scanners which allow you to hear what the drivers are saying to the pit people and vice versa. Now my biggest excitement came from being able to stand next to the wall and take photos of the race! I never realized how hard it is to shoot a truck moving at about 150mph! It took a little getting use to but eventually I figured it out! I am posting some of the photos that I took, all the people shots are in Ariana's camera and I will have to add those later! All in all it was an amazing day, learned a ton of new stuff about racing and have a new appreciation for the sport!

This was a car that we have no idea why it was sitting all covered up but it was alone in a garage. Still have not figured it out but if anyone knows please let me know!

New adventure!

Well time for a new adventure, we are heading out on Saturday to hit the races! We are going to the iconic Talladega Superspeedway (note not Motorspeedway, but SUPERspeedway)! This should be a great time, we have "pit passes" which from what I am told allow us to go visit the drivers, get down to ground level which I am hoping means great opportunity to take some photos! Ariana's cousin got us the tickets and she is going with us, I am really excited to see the place and spend some quality time with some good folks! I kind of wish that I could get dressed up in costume as it will be Halloween, if I could I would have to be Rickie Bobby, I just couldn't resist!




That night we hopefully get to see Lauren and Liem all dressed up and trick-or-treating. Sunday is another kind of adventure as we get to see a Birthday party for my 1 year old nephew! I am really excited about seeing him, he is walking now and it has been at least 3 months since I last saw him!

I will post pictures from both when I get back and probably when I finish the test that I am taking the following Thursday.

DRAGONCON!!!!!!

Well went out to Dragoncon this weekend, it was a blast! We went to the parade and then walked around the hotels for about 3 hours that morning! It was amazing to see all the people dressed up and the amount of time that they must have put into these outfits! Next year I want to at least go for one day and check out the inside!
